Have you done the Artist Way, but still feel blocked?
Do you desire to deepen your understanding of the creative process?
Have you lost motivation and a sense of purpose in your artwork?
Tired of anxiety and fear paralyzing your creativity?

Creative block isn’t about being lazy or not having enough talent, but more about a complex dance between exiting and reentering the creative process. Gaining a deeper awareness into your unique internal experience as an artist is the first step towards freeing your creativity. Develop ways to sustain motivation and inspiration. This workshop combines the works of other creativity experts (Anne Paris, Eric Maisel, Steve Pressfield, Robert Fritz and others) and includes exercises that will help you learn valuable new insights, which will deepen your creativity.

Week 1 – Sustaining Motivation
Explore how meaning and immersion can help nurture your creativity. Understand how to utilize the dance of Immersion, Disengagement and Reentry (developed by Anne Paris, Ph.D) to sustain motivation.

Week 2 – Beyond Creative Paralysis
Gain a better understanding of how anxiety causes creative block and how to work through resistance so that you can create.

Week 3 – Relationships and Creativity
Although time alone is necessary to create, supportive relationships are also vital to your ongoing creativity and motivation. Learn how connection with others is essential to you as an artist.

Week 4 – Healthy Disengagement
At some point every artist must disengage from intense connection to his or her art. This is when anxiety, self-doubt and creative block can arise. Learn how to step back from your art and reenter creative flow in a healthy and balanced way.
